Veteran Posts: 125 | I can't remember the exact year (early 70's?), but Joe Bouchard and I went to Sam Ash Music on Long Island to buy a guitar I could use at home. Joe came along to advise me. This Gibson ES-335 is my favorite at-home guitar to play...it plays "like buttuh." I had the tuning pegs changed but otherwise it's as-is from the 70's. /eb

Veteran Posts: 125 | This is an acoustic-electric "Alvarez Yairi" and is a fine instrument. This photograph can't show how beautifully made it is. Alvarez is distributed by St. Louis Music and I acquired this guitar from them a few years back. St. Louis Music is the distributor and manufacturer of Crate and Ampeg amplification. /eb

Veteran Posts: 125 | This Washburn is an acoustic-electric. For a short time, I was endorsed by Washburn and got this and 2 others for BOC to play live...One each for me, Buck and Allen. I would guess this was in the early 90's when we were playing "In Thee' in the set. /eb

Veteran Posts: 125 | Handmade for me by Renaldo Classic (Renaldo himself is Renaldo Classic), renowned New York area luthier Renaldo created this spare for me to use on stage. It's a modern replica of my original logo-shape guitar with modern EMG active pick-ups. I just used it in Chicago for the "Long Day's Night" DVD filming. Renaldo created the original for me in the late 70's and he's still building wonderful guitars today. /eb

Veteran Posts: 125 | This ESP Custom is mint mint mint. I've played it a few times locally and it doesn't leave the case at home. Around the time of 'Cult Classic" I asked friend Matt from ESP to have this guitar made. Fine fellow that he is, he had one of his artists reproduce a version of the "Cult Classic" artwork on this guitar. As you can see they did an amazing job. /eb

Veteran Posts: 125 | I bought this Guild D-35 acoustic guitar in the mid-70's sometime. It's the only acoustic guitar I own. It plays and sounds great. /eb

Veteran Posts: 125 | This ESP Mirage is a twin to the guitar with the alien sticker and was it's spare, although I think I got this one first, got a spare and made the spare the #1 player. /eb Special Update about this guitar: I recently gifted this guitar to my good friend Richie Castellano. He had it cleaned up by a luthier and played it at a BOC show. It still plays and looks great.

Veteran Posts: 125 | Our beloved George Geranios, soundman extraordinaire who did our live sound for many years introduced me to Matt at ESP who was kind enough give me an endorsement. I received a few ESP's over the years starting in the late 80's (my memory fails me on the exact years). Unfortunately a few of them were stolen here and there. I've had at least 10 guitars stolen from gigs in BOC's history...lost 5 in one day in Texas. This ESP Mirage is the one I played the most. Somewhere along the way I was in a poster store and bought the alien decal which adorns this guitar. /eb

Veteran Posts: 125 | This is a Fender Mustang Bass. When Buck was about to make "Flat Out", he called me and said he was buying a new Musicman bass for himself..did I want to buy his old Mustang bass? I said sure, so I bought it. It plays great and I've used it sparingly over the years when I needed bass on a home demo. /eb

Veteran Posts: 125 | This is a Kramer that I played alot during the 80's. Our ex-bassist, Jon Rogers approached them for a Spectre bass and mentioned that I was looking for a guitar ..so he hooked me up. /eb

Veteran Posts: 125 | This is a Hofner (german) mini-guitar with built-in amp and speaker...note the hole in the middle where the speaker resides. It has a 9-volt battery inside to run the amp. I got this guitar from the company in the early 80's I think. It still works fine and I recently had it set up to play nicely again. It's great for practice without an amp and I use it often when rehearsing in the city so I don't have to schlep a heavy guitar on the Long Island Railroad /eb

Veteran Posts: 125 | "This guitar is the original I played in 70's and has been sitting in it's case in my basement since then. It's the oldest BOC instrument I have. It had the Bigsby tremelo removed, holes filled in, repainted and the mother-of-pearl inlay done by the famous Renaldo before he made me the Logo-shape (guessing around mid-70s). I have another in storage done around the same time."

Veteran Posts: 125 | Harper Logo-shape: (Current Touring Guitar) "A few years back, inspired by Renaldo's original, John (Harper) made me a red BOC Logo-shaped guitar. While very nice to look at , it was an experiment, considering the shape. I found it hard to play because it was very light, no heft. On his own, John made this one and presented it to me during our 2003 tour of the west coast. It plays much better than the red one and I used it nightly." This guitar now resides in a Hard Rock Hotel.

Veteran Posts: 125 | Cities On Flame: This Dean "Hardtail" is Eric's latest addition to the collection. Update: I use this guitar when BOC is using our own gear. I can't fly it since I can only carry 2 guitars on tour.
